This one was much better than I thought it would be. Since this one is much more ‘big budget’ than most of the films at the fest I had assumed we’d be treated to a typical Hollywood horror flick. Thankfully it’s better then the typical garbage they churn out.
There’s four stories in the movie but it’s put together into one film. Some of the stories don’t go from start to finish and, instead, are blended with the other stories in the film. It’s always fun to see a character from one story bump into another character from the other stories and you get plenty of those moments in this one. Some characters are even in more than one of the stories and they all contain the character featured on the poster, Sam. He’s a creepy little kid and whats hiding under that mask of his was pretty freaking cool.
I can see this one becoming one of those flicks that groups of people get together to watch when the Halloween season comes calling. It’s fun and bloody and was great to watch. It’s not the same old stories that are usually used in Halloween type flicks and the one featuring Anna Paquin has a great twist in it that’s really entertaining. Now it wasn’t my favorite of the fest but it was up there and I’d recommend this one for that Halloween party I know everyone is already planning out there.
And after plenty of hours of waiting I managed to get the Q&A with the director uploaded, check it out at the end of this post.

Having your symbiotic brain die on you can suck, but that’s no reason to frown.
Uhhh, I’m not really sure what was going on in this one but it was interesting to watch. The animation in it is really well done and it was just weird and funny. I’m not really sure what else to say about it HAHA! but you can watch the whole short online and give your own feeling on it. Check it out right here.
